    About Image Peek

    Image Peek opens a preview when the text cursor reaches a pasted image marker in the Claude Code prompt. It uses a side pane in wide windows and a smaller above-prompt view when space is limited. Its primary target is macOS with Ghostty; other supported terminals have additional requirements.

    • Preview follows the text cursor rather than mouse hover.
    • Adapts between a side pane and an inline view.
    • Enable or disable capture with /image-peek on or off.

    How to install

    Open the source documentation to check prerequisites and installation scope. Copy the commands below and run them one line at a time. Replace any example paths with the directory you intend to use.

    Terminal

    claude plugin marketplace add karanb192/claude-code-mods
claude plugin install image-peek@claude-code-mods

    Requires Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. After installation, run /reload-plugins in the active session and check /plugin to confirm the mod loaded.

    Complete any authentication or settings steps documented by the maintainer, then reload the session and confirm the capability is available. Entries in the same repository may share a parent plugin installation.

    Getting started

    Start Claude Code in Ghostty on macOS. Paste one clipboard image, wait for capture, then move the cursor onto its image marker. Existing attachments and drag-and-drop files do not use the supported capture path; consult the README for terminal-specific limits.

    Review the project instructions and requested tool access, then try a small task. This directory checks sources and setup notes; inclusion is not a code security audit.
